Annabelle broke her arm Saturday evening while we were visiting with grandparents here in Utah. She barely fussed after she fell off of an exercise machine so I was surprised when Mike said that he thought she had broken her arm and without even asking for a second opinion was strapping her into her car seat.
As it turns out Mike was right and her arm was a little crooked! The entire car ride and almost throughout the hospital visit Annabelle never cried about her arm - but doctors and nurses sure made her furious!
She seems to be adjusting well and has still been using her left arm. If you ask her about pain she'll either ignore you or tell you that it only hurt a little bit. She is still just as independent as ever - she insisted on putting on her own sandals this morning and pulled up her own pajama pants for bed this evening. She has been fairly patient with me trying to get shirts off and on and making her wear a bag over her arm at times.

So I know we have already talked about this situation... but Ijust wanted to tell you that we have been trying to explain to annica that Annabelle hurt her arm... she did not really get it. BUt then I showed her these pictures and she was VERY concerned. "is she okay? is it gonna get better? " then she REALLY wanted to call her to make sure she was okay! But I did not think that you would uch appreciate a 6:30 phone call this morning. Man my kids hve been getting up so early!! ( i don't even know if you will be able to read these comments nytime soon?) Love ya!
I am so sorry! How sad! I'm glad she's doing okay with it and that she didn't cry too much. That's so crazy that something so little caused her to break her arm so bad! :(
oh anna! i love your cast, its very pretty. she just gets prettier and prettier every time i see her (mostly through pictures). love her outfit!
wow! I hope everything heals okay. you are lucky that she deals with the pain well and isn't constantly crying and complaining it hurts! SHe sure looks cute though in her little cast!

I told E and Caroline about this and they keep asking about it. Then they tell random people that Annabelle broke her arm. Nice call Mike. Hope she is well.

hurt kids are so sad. sounds like she's handling it pretty well, though. hope things just get better.
oh, and that's totally awesome to find out you guys are family! i actually drew out a little family tree to figure out how you and spencer are related. with the information i have, you and spencer are 4th cousins once removed. pretty cool, don't you think?!
